The undersigned Petitioners would Beg leave to ^Represent to^ Youre Excelency that at the March Term 1861 of the Powell Circuit Court that the Commonwealth obtained a Judgement against Narzimba Holmes for ~~Twenty~~ fifty dollars for carring concealed weapons and we would further Represent to youre Excellency that Mr Holmes is one among our best Loyal men and a verry poore man with a ^family^ Entirely Dependant upon him for [support] and it will be verry oppressive on him and his family if he has to Pay and we would further represent to youre Excellency that Mr Holmes lives in a Section of Country that He has to be constantly on the dodge to keep out of the ~~Hands of~~ hands of the Rebbles and in view of all the facts we think that his case Presents Strong grounds for the Exercise of Executive Clemency and we would Respectifully ask your Excellency to remit said fine
