To His Excellency
The Governer of Kentucky

The undersigned, Petitioner to your Excellency, respectfully represent — that on the 2^d day of June, a boy named Kirk, without permission, took possession of a skiff, beloning to the undersigned, and while in possession, seriously damaged the same by running ^over the Dam^ The petitioner feeling outraged, made an attack on said Kirk and punished him for which he was fined to the amount — of five dollars and costs.

In consequence of the exasperation caused by the seizure of the skiff and the subsequent damages Your petitioner implores Your Excellency to remit the fine-
