You will take no further action in relation to mustering out the State forces until further orders

The reason for this order is that Genl Suddarth who visited Genl Burbridge today at his request- informs me that it is the desire of Genl Burbridge that I should not disband them ^at present^ but await until I heard from him in reply to my letter of the 1^st Inst

Hoping his communication may be satisfactory and remove the causes which constrained me to order the disbanding of these forces I shall await its reception before further action. I know there exists great necessity for not only preserving the organization but for increasing it; but am not willing to do so to the endangerment of the peace of Kentucky and the security of our Armies.
