The Governor desires that you will at once furnish this Department with a list of the casualties and losses which have occurred in battle or otherwise in your Regiment up to the 1^s day of October 1863,

We are the recipients continually of inquiries concerning the welfare of members of your Regiment, from this office is expected to come information necessary frequently to render clear questionable points at the War Department and it will be a matter of pride to the deserving and of justice to the unworthy. to have exhibited in the annual Report about to be issued from this Department, the information we now ask that you send us at the earliest practicable moment

Printed forms are herewith enclosed ready to be filled and returned, Your early attention to this, will gratify those who have relatives and friends in your command will place among the archives and records of this Office valuable information, and impossible to be otherwise obtained and will oblige.
