Lexington, Kentucky, attorney, judge, and politician. Fayette County, Kentucky, native. Son of John C. Graves. Studied law and admitted to the bar. Attorney in Fayette County in 1850. Judge of the Fayette County Court from 1850 to 1858 and 1866 to 1874. Mayor of Lexington from 1859 to 1865.
