Fleming County, Kentucky, attorney and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of Mary Faris. Resident of Fleming County in 1850. Attorney in Fleming County in 1860. Served in the 5th Kentucky Cavalry (U.S.A.) as first lieutenant and captain from February 27, 1863, to May 3, 1865.
