Lexington. Ky.
To His Excellency
Thomas E Bramlette,
Govenor of Ky,
Sir,
I have the honor to respectfully recommend, Frank G. Clark, Quartermaster Sergt of [...] Battery, as 2nd Lieutenant,, Sergt Clark is a young man of good moral character, Steady Habits, energetic, a good and efficient soldier, possessing the necessary qualificiations which an officer is required to have, He has been in this Battery since its organization, Re-enlisted at the time the rest of the Battery did, and it is my belief, he is best fitted to fill the position, to be vacated by the promotion of Lieut S. A. Miller, than any other member of the Battery,
I am Sir very resepectfully
Your obedient Servt
L. E. P. Bush.
