Frankfort, Kentucky, merchant, soldier, and statesman. New York native. Married to Susan Page in 1850. Father of Isaac R. Page, Henry C. Page, and John H. Page. Married to Mary T. Hodges Page in Franklin County, Kentucky, on December 8, 1858. Father of James R. Page, Albert M. Page, and Lizzie D. Page. Clerk in Frankfort in 1850. Owned three enslaved persons in Franklin County in 1850. Merchant in Frankfort in 1860. Served in the 9th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a captain and major from August 22, 1862, to February 14, 1863. Assistant Secretary of State under Ephraim L. Van Winkle, who served from September 1, 1863, to May 23, 1866.
