Henry County, Kentucky, attorney and court clerk. Shelby County, Kentucky, native. Son of Roland Thomas and Kate Johnston Thomas. Married to Mary S. Johnston on February 19, 1819. Father of Rowland Thomas, Edmund Thomas, Catherine Thomas, Wyatt Thomas, George Thomas, John Thomas, Sallie Thomas, and [Unknown] Thomas. Deputy in the Henry Circuit Court and Henry Court Court from 1812 to 1827. Sheriff of Henry County from 1820 to 1821. Assistant clerk of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1824. Clerk of the Henry Circuit Court and Henry County Court from 1827 to 1862. Owned eleven enslaved persons in 1850. Owned three enslaved persons in 1860.
