I respectfully reqest that the commission issued to Henry B Brodess as 1~~^st~~2^nd Lieut Co "G" 45^th Ky Mt^d Infy Vols, may be revoked and cancelled for the following reasons —

1^st — He is a resigned officer (14 Ky Infy) and the consent of the War Dept is necessary to his re-commission

2^nd He has not been discharged in orders as is required by Gen Orders- He being an enlisted man —
3^rd — He has proved himself wholly unworthy of the position —
